Industry leaders from the drinks industry gathered together to celebrate the end of the London Wine Fair 2014 at the exclusive Kensington Roof Gardens. The party began with a sumptuous barbeque fired up 6 floors above the London skyline in the stunning rooftop gardens, accompanied by a selection of wines, beers and spirits provided by the generous sponsors: Matua and Rosemount from Treasury Wine Estates, Y Series by Yalumba from Negociants, Shorn from Kingsland, Casillero del Diablo from Concha Y Toro UK, Estrella Galicia from PLB and Roscoe’s Craft Beer from The Winery Exchange and Mionetto Prosecco from Copestick Murray.
Guests enjoyed the vivacious band ‘Iron Bootscrapers’ before hitting the dance floor with some rocking tunes being spun all night.
During the evening some fabulous raffle prizes were won such as 2 weekend tickets to Bestival courtesy of Matua, and lunch for two at Sake no Hana with an introduction to Sake course kindly donated by Christine Parkinson. Magnums of Ayala Brut Majeur were kindly donated by Mentzendorff Prizes for Best Dressed Male which went to Ewan Murray, of the Wine Society and journalist and photographer Colin Hampden White and Best Dressed Female was awarded to wine educator Laura Clay for their creative and enthusiastic interpretation of the Flamingo Twist dress code.
With many thanks to all the sponsors on the night, and to all the guests who enjoyed the end of a week at what was a very successful London Wine Fair back in its spiritual home of Olympia.
All the proceed of the night will go towards helping vulnerable members of the trade facing medical or financial hardship.
