In 2005 The Benevolent Buddies initiative was launched with the intention of organising events where younger people within the industry could network and support their trade charity. Over the years the Buddies role evolved and expanded and in June 2015 the group was re-launched as Benevolent Ambassadors.
As part of this relaunch The Benevolent is seeking a number of additional Benevolent Ambassadors to represent their company and sector of the trade. As well as promoting engagement and fundraising activities within their organisations these new Benevolent Ambassadors will be invited to play a key role in helping to shape The Benevolent’s engagement strategy with the wider trade. Benevolent Ambassadors are volunteers and have no specific financial commitments, although Individual Membership of The Benevolent is encouraged, and they are asked to fulfil three key responsibilities.
Benevolent Ambassador’s Role:
- Promote our Here to Help campaign within their organisation and sector of the trade.
- Encourage colleagues and friends to organise in-house fundraising initiatives for the charity and attend Benevolent Events.
- Provide vital feedback and play a key role in helping to shape The Benevolent’s engagement strategy with the wider trade
All new Ambassadors receive an informational welcome pack, certificate, lapel pin, collection tin or bucket for their work place and an invitation to a complimentary Benevolent Ambassador Networking Event.
If you are interested in becoming a Benevolent Ambassador, or for further information, please email Chris Baker, Partnership Development Manager, or call 0207 089 3888.
