Mental Health

1 in 4 of us will experience mental health issues this year. We know it takes a huge effort to grin and bear it, but you’re #NotAlone.

If you are one of the 23% of people in the UK each year to experience mental health issues, you are #NotAlone. We are here to help.
Mental health is like physical health; we all need to look after it. Yet we know it can be difficult to share how you feel with others – you may worry about what people will think.
But the stigma around mental health is gradually breaking down, and we are here to talk about it and to help you in any way we can.

You are #NotAlone.

• Tell your line manager or HR department how you are feeling. If you are worried about their reaction, get in touch with us. We can support them to be open to the discussion without prejudice or judgment.
• Start the conversation by completing our application form on our website:
• Speak to a professional counsellor on our confidential helpline 0800 915 4610, 8am-8pm, seven days a week. They will find the best way to help you.

The Campaign aims to encourage members of the trade to speak freely about mental health issues within the workplace, creating a stigma-free environment, reminding both employers and employees that The Benevolent is here with professionals at hand to help you.

To complement the mental health campaign, The Benevolent has commissioned a survey addressed to the current members of the UK drinks industry aimed at outlining the current mental health difficulties experienced by members of the trade and discovering existing HR policies to support employees with mental health issues.
